In 2009, sales of the Audi Q7 has been dramatically reduced.Besides, the price of petrol has increased continuously to make consumer select products more compact and fuel efficient.
So Audi is planning to introduce two future versions Q7: XXL 7 seats for the Chinese market, the Middle East and North America and 5 seat for the European market and the rest.
This will help increase sales?Audi also not sure.Therefore, luxury car manufacturer in Germany have not yet made plans on until a better idea to stimulate sales.
Currently, Audi is disturbed between the two options.The first is the use of high strength steel frame helps Q7 reduce weight up to 250 kg.However, it is not enough to reduce fuel consumption.
Option 2 is to use aluminum frame structure completely new,may reduce the maximum weight of up to nearly 500 kg, but the cost will be expensive.There will probably need more time before Audi launched the final decision.
