BMW compete with Mercedes and Porsche

[24HCAR] - Director of BMW's development, Mr Klaus Draeger has announced, BMW will launch the Grand Coupe Concept, 4-door coupe to compete with the Mercedes and Porsche in next time.


Specifically, BMW expected launch the Grand Coupe pitted against rivals such as Mercedes CLS, the upcoming Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera.

As expected, the Grand Coupe will the first debut at Beijing Motor Show in 4/2011. However, Mr. Draeger has only revealed that the production version will have a design similar to line 6 series. Even the technology used on the cars and prices will have similarities with the line 6-series coupe. So, the Grand Coupe will cost at about 70,450 euros ($ 93,560) such as the starting price of the 6 series line in Germany at the present time.

Although not known, Grand Coupe using hybrid technology or not, but Mr Draeger confirmed that they will consider releasing to add a hybrid version of the Grand Coupe.

Grand Coupe will officially run on all roads in 2012, after BMW releasing the  6-series coupe models, two doors in next year.
